The Nutabes (or "Nutabae")〔http://antioquia.gov.co/ Antioquia Government〕 were an indigenous people who inhabited the region of Antioquia in Colombia, to about the 14th century. In addition to the stories that indicate the presence of this tribe in the Aburrá Valley in municipalities such as Itagüí, Envigado and Sabaneta, also in the towns of Antioquia places like Toledo, San Andrés de Cuerquia and Ituango you will find information and other territories mediating the 16th century were inhabited by the tribe. ==History==
According to some historians and researchers Nutabes fall within the language family Chibchas. Nutabes were essentially farmers, especially maize and beans, fruit trees and even cotton. Also, in other economic fields, were fishermen and also miners mined alluvial gold field and the Medellin river.
